The short version

AI Prompt Manager stores everything locally on your device and sends nothing anywhere. We have no servers and no access to your data.

What we collect

Nothing. The extension has no backend and makes no network requests. We do not collect, receive, sell or share any personal information.

What the extension stores locally

To provide its features, the extension saves the following only in your browser (IndexedDB and chrome.storage.local):

• The text of prompts you submit on supported AI websites.
• Context shown on those pages: website name, page URL, conversation title/ID, and the date/time of capture.
• Your organization data: folders, tags, favorites, templates and settings.

This data never leaves your computer. Uninstalling the extension removes it, and you can erase it anytime via Settings → Danger zone → Delete all prompts, or export a backup first.

Permissions and why they’re needed

• storage / unlimitedStorage — save your prompt library locally.
• sidePanel — show the manager UI in Chrome’s side panel.
• contextMenus — right-click actions (save selection, open manager).
• notifications — optional “Prompt saved / copied” messages.
• offscreen — copy a prompt to the clipboard from a keyboard shortcut.
• tabs — read the active tab’s URL/title to attach context to a captured prompt.
• Host access (AI websites) — run the content script that detects your submitted prompts.

Data sharing

We do not sell, share, transmit or analyze your data. No third parties are involved, and no analytics or trackers are included.

Trademarks

AI Prompt Manager is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Microsoft, Perplexity, xAI or any other provider. Product names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are used only to indicate compatibility.

Children’s privacy

The extension does not knowingly collect data from anyone; all data stays on the user’s device.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the revised version on this page.
